About

I am an artist, educator, facilitator and researcher with a practice that moves between contemporary art, textiles and installation work. I completed my PhD, Interrogating selves: deconstructive strategies in Buddhism and contemporary art, at the School of Art, Australian National University in 2015, in which I investigated disruption and interrogation in the nexus between contemporary art, Surrealism and Indo-Tibetan Buddhism. My current project is because you are there I am here, a book making project which is the third in a series of book sets based upon my ongoing research into pechas, unbound Buddhist texts that are typically presented in pairs; a ‘root text’ of pithy instruction and response text that ‘unpacks’ the root text.

I teach design and theory subjects from pre-school to tertiary level and create and deliver community programs for schools and community groups. Currently I am working as an educator at the National Portrait Gallery of Australia. I present my work within Australia and overseas and have work in Australian and international private collections.
